County Republican Leadership

County Republican Leadership

Steven Wright

Chairman

Steven has called Dorchester County home his entire life. He began working campaigns in fourth grade where his love for local leadership and politics began.

Steven was elected Dorchester Republican Chairman in 2021. Under his leadership, the Dorchester County GOP has experienced historic growth in membership, fundraising, and engagement with our Republican Elected Officials.

In his free time, Steven enjoys the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Donna Klim

Vice Chair

Donna Klim moved to Summerville, SC in 1988 with her husband Steve who served in the United States Navy. After raising 3 children, they are now enjoying being empty nesters.

Donna has been an active member of the Dorchester County Republican Party for just over 4 years and has always believed in the conservative values. The first President she was able to vote for was President Reagan. Her goal is to work as a team, grow the Dorchester County Republican Party and to keep our God given freedoms as

our focus.

Brady Bowyer

Second Vice Chair

Brady has dedicated his life to advancing liberty for future generations. Originally hailing from Washington State, he relocated to the Lowcountry in 2021 after spending 10 years in Las Vegas, where he met his wife, Emily.

He has worked on campaigns and PACs for principled freedom fighters across the country, from city councils to US Senate, as well as issue-advocacy groups defending the free market, and our right to bear arms. In that time he's trained hundreds in the essential art of direct voter contact, and now wants to help you become the best, most effective Republican you can be!

Rebecca Lawson

Third Vice Chair

Rebecca has called South Carolina home for over 25 years. She has actively volunteered for the last 19 years in the faith and education communities. While she has observed the governmental and political processes for many years, for the last four years she has actively engaged in political activities, and campaigns that support her Christian Conservative beliefs.

As Third Vice Chair, Rebecca will focus on keeping the DCRP Executive Committee informed of proposed legislation and government actions that threaten our rights, our freedoms, and our Constitutional Republic.

Joe Cali

Dorchester County GOP State Executive Committeemen

Joe Cali endorses the timeless principles of the Declaration of Independence which proclaimed that our rights come from God, not from government. He joined the Republican Party because the party platform is close to his Americanism ideals. He is a member of the Dorchester County Taxpayer Association where the topic of the discussion focuses on local decisions that affect tax rates and fiscal spending. Joe is the founding member of a local watchdog group, Concerned Citizens for Education, that raises awareness of issues within the government educational system.

When Joe is not doing political and educational research, you will find him enjoying Lowcountry living with his family and friends.
